Russo's Catering

I was very excited about Russo's when we booked with our venue because it was the only caterer allowed and they did it all! Food, bar, linens, tables, cake, all of it! It was a one-stop shop and they had a huge menu to choose from. BUT I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the service I received. 1. Do not pay with a personal check here. Go to your bank and get a cashier's check. I put my deposit down with them and the next day I started receiving car insurance quotes with my OLD address on my check (two addresses prior and not available on a Google search)! I called immediately once I figured out what was happening and they denied it all. The receptionist finally admitted they had an IT breach a couple weeks prior. I still do not know if it was an employee or a leftover "bot" pulling info from their system, but they were the only people who had all of the pieces of information that were used on the applications. I tried to change caterers but my venue wouldn't let me because they had the liquor license. No reduction in price was made. Looking back, I should have changed caterers and kept the bar with them. 2. Besides the identity theft scare, I could not get my rep to respond to emails. She would take over a week, sometimes two. I am a consultant and if I did that to my clients, I would be out of a job. Getting any information or asking questions was terrible and slow. 3. Remember the big menu? Well a blessing and a curse. They offer tastings once or twice a month. We had a short engagement so I only had two tastings I could attend. I expected a "Golden Corral" buffet style tasting based on what they had on their menu. We instead received a mock dinner buffet with 3 entrees, 2 carved meats, 4 sides, and 3 kinds of cake. We chose the cheapest menu because of budget and only ONE item that we tasted was on my menu. I could pay to attend another tasting and pay additional fees to have them make the dishes I wanted to taste. They did make accommodations and substituted menu items I had tasted that were not on my menu. The only reason they are getting two stars is because the food and cake was delicious and day-of service was excellent.

I recently had the pleasure of hiring Russo's to cater our rehearsal dinner, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! We did a "St Louis Themed" dinner with salad, toasted ravioli, and pizza. It was wonderful! They were also accommodating to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring that everyone had delicious options to enjoy. The service was great as well. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. They seamlessly handled all aspects of the event, allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening with our loved ones. If you're in need of a caterer that will impress your guests with incredible food, outstanding service, and attention to detail, I highly recommend Russo's. They are a fantastic team of professionals who will make your special event a memorable and delicious success!

We booked Russo's as our catering for our daughters wedding at the Barnett on Washington. Oh My! We loved every aspects about the catering and the food. Courtney was just wonderful to work with. We had passed appetizers, a taco station, and a carved meat station. The wait staff was professional, wore masks, and served the food even though it was a buffet style. The food was simply outstanding. Everyone just raved.........not your typical boring wedding food. The best. They also made my daughters wedding cake. I come from a family of professional bakers and this cake was truly remarkable. Not only beautiful, but simply delicious. Thank you Russos for making our daughters wedding wonderful. A lovely night to remember.

Russo's Catering did a great job for our wedding at Piazza Messina. Emily was our event coordinator and she did an outstanding job! I did not have to worry about anything on my wedding day because Emily and the team did such a great job. Even though we had a large guest list, dinner was served efficiently and everyone was able to eat in a timely manner. We received many compliments on both the food and cake at our wedding. Everything was delicious!! The Russos and all the staff at Piazza Messina truly care about making your event amazing.

We had Russo’s cater our wedding reception and let me tell you, it was worth every penny!! We had it buffet style/ staffed event. There were four staff members that really went above and beyond for us!! All of our guests said it was the best wedding food they have had, and our cake was yummy and beautiful as well!! The China they used were perfect. I did not have to worry a single time about our dinner or the service that was provided. I would highly highly recommend Russos!!
